Book Launch Alert

Barefoot on the Cobbles by

Janet Few


Janet Few will be launching her novel Barefoot on the Cobbles during the Devon Family History Society meeting at 2 pm at The Pollyfield Centre, Avon Road, East-the-Water, Bideford. Entrance is free and is open to all. There will a talk about the research that underpins the novel, music from Dan Britton, who has composed the companion song to the novel and a chance to be one of the first to get your hands on a signed copy of the book and Dan’s accompanying CD.

The Exeter Authors Association will be performing at the Exeter Literary Festival 2018. We will be in the Clifford Room of the Barnfield Theatre from 5.15 to 7.45 pm doing an evening of fun, fantastic talks.

5 - 5.45 pm

Award winning authors Jenny Kane and P.J. Reed will be discussing 'From the Sheriff of Nottingham to Professor Moriarty to Lord Voldemort - What makes a good villain?'

6 - 6.45 pm

Maura Beckett, Susie Williamson, and J.E. Hall will be talking about their exotic travels and how their adventures through Sudan, South Africa, Turkey, Oman and Devon inspired their writing in 'Writing Travels to Africa, the Middle East and Devon.'

7 - 7.45 pm

Tracey and Mark Norman will be examining 'The Folkloric Inspiration Behind The Hound of The Baskervilles' and 'How Did Accusations of Witchcraft Arise?'

These are free events and tickets are available through the Barnfield Theatre Ticket Office.
