Crediton Literary Festival - 2018

The Winner of the adult category of the Crediton Literary Festival was Bruce Evans.

Elana Evans won the Highly Commended award in the Under-18's category of the Crediton Literary Festival. 

The Rules

1) Stories should be on the theme of 'A Surprise Package' and must be original and written in English. There are 2 age categories. One for writers aged 18 years or above and one for writers below the age of eighteen years. Please ensure you write the age group you are entering at the top left-hand side of the story along with your name, age, and contact details.
 2) Maximum length is 1000 words. Entries can be typed or handwritten. Each page must have the title of your story at the top of each page. Pages must be numbered. Online entries are sent as email attachments. The file name must be the title of your story. 
Closing date for receipt of entries is 8th June 2018 at 5 pm.
3) Entries can be made online or put in the Crediton Literary Festival Short Story Competition submission box situated in Crediton Library. Entries are open to anyone living in the SW of England.
4) Entries must not have been previously published in print or online, been broadcast or won a prize. Published online includes publication on your personal blog, Facebook, or any other social media site.
5) Entries will be read and judged by members of the EAA.
6)  Entries will not be returned so please keep your own copy. 
7) The winners of each age category will be announced at the Crediton Literary Festival and their names will be published on social media. The prize for each category will be given at the Crediton Literary Festival.
8) By entering, an acceptance of all the rules and terms and conditions is implied. Entries that fail to comply with rules and terms and conditions will be disqualified.  No correspondence can be entered into and the judges’ decisions are final.
9) This competition is not open to members of or the immediate family of members of Crediton Library or the EAA.
