The Exeter Authors Association recognizes that your privacy is very important, and we take it seriously. This privacy policy describes our policies and procedures about the collection, use, disclosure, and sharing of your personal information or personal data. For clarity, personal information or personal data means information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

The Information We Collect

We collect information author details directly from individuals, with their consent and put it on our website, social media, and in poster form. Personal information is not made public and is only kept in paper form and as emails stored in our Gmail account.

Account and Profile Information

An authors name photo and any other information that they choose to add to your public-facing profile will be available for viewing to users of the internet.

Your Content 

The author is in charge of what content is shown about them on this website.

Communications

When you communicate with us via email, phone, through the monthly meetings etc we may maintain a record of your communication.

Integrated Service Provider and Linked Networks

You can elect to become an Exeter Author you can connect your new webpage with certain third-party networks like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn (each a “Linked Network”).

These Linked Networks may also appear in your profile, so that people can find you on these Linked Networks.  You should consult their respective privacy policies for information about their practices. 

Automatically Collected Information About Your Activity

If you have linked your social media accounts to your EAA webpage details of your social media may come up on our linked social media. We will like, retweet and share book-related activity. We will not record your activity and in most cases probably will not read it either.

Purposes and Legal Bases for Our Using of Your Information

We do not sell your personal data – such as your name and contact information – to third parties to use for their own marketing purposes.

We value your privacy.

Information about personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy in accordance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 

We will keep your details in paper and email form. When you leave the EAA your webpage will be deleted and the written application form will be destroyed. Email correspondence may remain hidden in our Gmail vaults but we won't be looking at it or passing any details on to third parties.
